DMCI Power Corporation is now IMS Certified

DMCI Power Corporation (DPC) hits another mark as it receives Integrated Management System (IMS) certifications for ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems), 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems), and 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems).

DPC received its IMS certifications on December 14, 2021 from DQS Philippines, a third-party auditing firm specializing in international standards accreditation.

The certification covers the operation, maintenance, and environment, safety and health of DPC power plant in Oriental Mindoro including support functions performed by DPC Office of the President, Human Resources and Administration, Accounting, Treasury, Engineering and Maintenance, Corporate Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility, Procurement and Logistics.  

The three management systems ensure consistency in implementing procedures and policies on the DPC’s technical and non-technical operations. With the IMS certification, all stakeholders are assured that DPC’s services are delivered with utmost quality, with due consideration to the environment and the safety of its employees and stakeholders.

Quality Management focuses on the organization’s activities to meet stakeholder requirements and ability to continuously improve its effectivity and efficiency. Environmental Management gauges the organization’s efforts to reduce its environmental impact while the Safety Management identifies and manages all safety and risk factors within the organization.

Gatdula also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to DPC employees, “particularly the IMS Technical Working Group, for their tireless dedication in complying with the technical and documentary requirements.”
