DMCI Power aids Typhoon Odette victims in Palawan

Off-grid energy supplier DMCI Power Corporation (DPC) distributed relief goods worth P500,000 to different municipalities in Northern Palawan.The province was hit by Typhoon Odette last December 17, 2021, damaging houses, roads, and other structures in the area.DMCI Power donated a total of 1,000 food packages to 5 barangays hit by the typhoon. 

“As our way of expressing our Malasakit to our communities, it was necessary to go beyond our line of business and help those who were badly affected. More than just providing power, we wanted to do more and extend assistance to these areas,” said Antonino Gatdula, Jr., DPC Chief Operating Officer.

DPC reported no damage on its power plants located in Barangay Irawan, Puerto Princesa City and Barangay Iraan, Aborlan.

DPC has likewise assisted the National Power Corporation (NPC) for the immediate repair of their damaged 69KV transmission lines by deploying boom trucks and backhoes.

DPC also extended financial assistance to its partner cooperative to expedite restoration and repair of its distribution lines.
