DMCI Power extends support for Masbate communities amid continuing COVID19 crisis
With more areas in the province of Masbate now placed under localized community quarantine, DMCI Power Corporation (DPC) is raging up its effort in assisting communities affected by the COVID19 crisis.
DMCI Masbate Power Corporation (DMPC) a subsidiary of DPC, recently turned over essential medical supplies and relief items to its host communities in Masbate particularly in the municipalities of Cataingan, Cawayan, Balud, Aroroy, and Mobo.
DMPC donated medical supplies to the different Rural Health Units of the Province, including surgical masks, nitrile gloves, surgical gloves, alcohol, antigen test kits, oxygen tanks, and various antibiotic medicines to support the community’s frontliners.
In addition, DMPC also dropped off a total of 1,249 canned goods, 63 sacks of rice, and a number of essential relief items.
The turnover activity was joined by the barangay health officials and representatives from the different LGUs.
“We are very grateful for the continuous assistance we received from DMCI. More than that, we really appreciate the current relationship between DMCI and the LGUs. We’re very blessed to have you as our neighbor of choice,” said Cawayan Mayor Edgar Condor.
The said activity is part of DPC advocacy in promoting health, wellness, and nutrition in its communities as aligned with one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals on Good Health and Well-being.
“Health is one of the advocacies that we prioritize at DMPC especially now in the time of crisis. The ‘new normal’ of implementing community outreach activities has changed but one thing that has become constant despite the challenge — our commitment to extend Malasakit to our communities,” said DPC Corporate Affairs Head Mocs Maramag.
